How to make coloured rice

Coloured rice can be used for so many activities. Children can use the rice for their small world/imaginary play by putting dinosaur in it, farm animals etc. They can use it for practising writing their name, Arabic letters or key words. You can retell one of prophets’ stories such as Prophet Nuh and put the boat in and the animals.

How to make it

Method 1

1. Put the rice into a sandwich bag
2. Put some distilled vinegar and food colouring in
3. Mix well so all the rice is coloured
4. Lay on a tray to dry

Method 2

2. Put some cold water and paint in
3. Mix well so all the rice is coloured
4. Lay on a tray to dry

Once you rice is dry then the children can play with it.
